Q: WHAT MATERIAL SHOULD I USE AS A DRIVEWAY SUB-BASE?
A: Our "Dirty Screen Cinder" is an excellent sub-finish road material which gives proper stability and compaction for a good sub-base. For driveways with a significant amount of mud, we recommend using an additional 1" to 1 1/2" or 1 1/2" to 3" Cinder Clinker to bridge the Mud and create a stabilized sub-base. (see the Materials-Proucts page)
Q: WHAT MATERIAL SHOULD I USE FOR A FINISH MATERIAL (DRIVEWAY CAP)?
A: Items 1 thru 5 and 8 & 9 on the Materials-Products page. Depending on what you are wanting the end result to be.
Q: HOW DO I CALCULATE HOW MUCH MATERIAL I WILL NEED?
A: You will need to multiply the length of the driveway times the width of the driveway (equals area) times the desired thickness (equals volume). See below diagram. For Example:
If the Length = 100 ft and Width = 12 ft and your desired
depth of sub-base is 3 inches then it would be:
100 x 12 = 1200 sqft. (area) then 1200 x 0.25ft (3 inches) = 300 cubic feet.
If you divide by 27 that will give you Cubic Yards or 11.11 CY.
Note: If you divide the inches by 12 (12 inches in a foot) , that will give you the
tenths of a foot . Example: 3 inches divided by 12 = 0.25 ft.

Q: HOW MUCH COMES IN EACH LOAD?
A: We can deliver either in a 15 cubic yard load or a 25 cubic yard load.
Q: HOW DO I SPREAD AND COMPACT THE MATERIAL?
A: Our trucks can do a decent spread by themselves when they pull out or for finer grading you can either do it yourself or we can spread and compact with our equipment and experienced operators for an additional charge (call for pricing).
Q: WHO DO I CALL FOR QUESTIONS OR ORDERING?
